Shorey the Shark is home at Shorewood Hills Elementary!
(see photo ------> )
Shorey the Shorewood shark is a mascot that brings together many of the attributes of Shorewood Hills Elementary School.
The school mascot reflects the worldwide pride of the students and staff.
The blue on blue design is culturally international, reflecting art from many continents.
This approachable character wears a friendly attitude
to welcome you into the
school family. Even the texture is familiar and comfy, just right for this friendly, out
going neighborhood school.
The students helped influence the final design. As a community, they developed
shark pictures, thinking about sharks to represent their school. These pictures
were used as resources to understand many of the details of Shorey. For example,
Shorey’s eyes, teeth and general shape came from a survey of the students’ artwork.
Shorey is looking forward to more school fun for years to come!
